KUALA LUMPUR: Bumiputra-Commerce Holdings Bhd group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Nazir Razak was voted Asia’s second best bank chief executive in a survey done by Institutional Investor magazine.

Nazir shares second spot with Eung Chan Ra and Yin Ho Lee, the two CEOs of South Korea’s Shinhan Financial Group Co.

The winner for the category was Weihua Ma of China Merchants Bank Co.

This was Institutional Investor’s second annual ranking of Asia’s Best CEOs. It is aimed at determining Asia’s most effective chief executives for a particular period.

The results, compiled after the voting period closed in March, were based on the responses of research analysts and portfolio managers at leading money management firms.
